On October 21, 2024, Rio Tinto went live with Phase 1 of its Global ³ÉÈ˶¶Òõ Program to streamline HR processes for over 130,000 workers across 38 countries. This initiative will ultimately consolidate 17 legacy systems onto a unified platform, enhancing employee experience and operational efficiency.
ÌýThe transformation was driven by the need to address limited self-service access, poor user experience, inconsistent tracking of workforce skills, and a fragmented HR landscape characterised by complex data and manual processes. The Phase 1 solution Go-Live, delivered within 16 months of commencement, incorporates foundational ³ÉÈ˶¶Òõ HCM components, including Core HCM, Recruitment, Onboarding, Compensation, Talent and Performance.
ÌýPhase 2 is currently in flight, and will deliver ³ÉÈ˶¶Òõ Learning, Talent Optimisation, Advanced Compensation and Workforce Planning (Adaptive) by the end of 2025.
